Crowdfunding tackles cancer

A campaign on Generosity has raised nearly $4 million to fund paediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York. 


Crowdfunding is being used more frequently to fund medical treatment and research, with 22% of Americans contributed to a crowdfunding project in 2016. But doubts remain over the tax treatment of raised funds and accountability.
